I don't wanna be the fat guy anymore!!!

I am starting this blog series to walk my blog followers through my journey to thinness. It all started a little less than a week ago when I was sitting home. Specifically Sunday January 24th 2010. To give you some background around December 1st I purchased a $1,700 Elliptical machine from Solo Fitness an E55. It's really a beautiful machine but guess what when your 5'4 225.6 lbs working out is hard. Let me just say 225.6 lbs is severely obese for a 29 year old and I was asking for hypertension heart disease, diabetes, joint deterioration, and high blood pressure. Basically by the time I was 40 I would most likely have had my first moderate to severe heart attack and would probably need a bypass of some kind. Not a good thing if you reflect on how young a 40 year old is. Just think Sandra Bullock is 45 years old so that's a scary thought being at deaths door 5 years before such a youthful looking actress. In any event I was sitting at home and reviewing some pictures my wife had taken which I will be posting. I never looked at myself in that position but basically I was laying on the floor and she took it looking up from my feet. You can't even see my face because my stomach obscures it by far. If you look closely you can even see the stretch marks. At that point it occurred to me that I was a disgusting slob. I never ever thought of myself as a slob, maybe a few extra pounds or a little heavy but never grotesque. I couldn't bear to face the truth that the picture told. I decided then and there I had to do something because I didn't want to live like this. Especially if me and my wife are going to start trying to have kids. So started my journey towards thinness.
